Improving homeownership for female-headed households
We provide emergency financing to women heads of households — widowed, divorced, and never-married mothers — who are at risk of losing their homes due to foreclosure brought about by tax liens. We intervene to secure the family's homeownership. We maintain the stability necessary for the children to thrive and the financial security critical for the mother to raise her family.

“SECRETARY’S CITATION”
Women's Home Preservation Fund's President Nadine Ngouabe Dlodlo awarded the Secretary's Citation by Maryland Department of Planning Secretary Robert S. McCord.
Ms. Ngouabe Dlodlo led teams of staffers and volunteers to register 3,885 hard-to-reach Marylanders in the 2020 Census, adding over $79M in funding to the State of Maryland.
The Secretary's Citation recognizes Ms. Ngouabe Dlodlo's tireless effort and dedication to the common goal of making Maryland communities better places to live and work.
“MICA DESIGNFEST ”
The Women's Home Preservation Fund has been selected as a participant in the MICA Grassroots Designfest 2021!
The MICA Grassroots DesignFest, sponsored by the T. Rowe Price Foundation, is an amazing opportunity to contribute to the social change movement in Baltimore while collaborating face-to-face with other designers and nonprofits. Teams of volunteer designers work with grassroots nonprofits to prototype logo designs, website updates, branding strategies, and more - all in one jam-packed event.
For spring 2021, the virtual DesignFest will be held the afternoons of March 20 + 27. Designer registration now open. Deadline 1.29.2021
